GRADD contracts with agencies in each county to provide services to senior citizens age 60 and over. Each county has a central aging office, called a focal point. Services provided include: advocacy, counseling, education, friendly visiting, health promotion, outreach, recreation, telephone reassurance, transportation, information and assistance, senior center (congregate) and home delivered meals (meals on wheels).
Call the aging program in your county if you:
- Know of a senior citizen who might need transportation to and from the doctor’s office, the senior center, or the grocery.
- Know someone who might need a daily telephone call.
- Someone in need of a visit by a volunteer friendly visitor.
- Need to find a place to socialize with other senior citizens.
- Are in need of a meal delivered to your home each day.
- Want to find activities to participate in with others, such as pool, cards, and exercise.
Please feel free to contact any of our county coordinators in order to expedite the services that they can provide to you, or your loved ones.
