Regional Transportation Planning
The Green River Area Development District (GRADD) partners with the Kentucky Transportation Planning to facilitate and coordinate regional transportation planning for the non-metropolitan counties of Hancock,
The GRADD Regional Transportation Committee was created by the GRADD Board of Directors to provide a forum for elected officials and the public to work together in solving regional transportation problems; act as an advocacy body on transportation issues; act as a data and information base; provide for a means to locally and regionally prioritize transportation projects; and provide input for the Statewide Transportation Plan. The committee meets bi-monthly on the third Tuesday at the GRADD office at 10:00 a.m.

Primary functions:
- Establish FY 2010 Regional Transportation Goals and Objectives
- Maintain information and data pertaining to the regional transportation network: GRADD FY 2010 Regional Transportation Concept Plan
- Provide public input opportunities on transportation programs
- Review of the GRADD FY 2010 - FY 2012 Highway Plan Projects Identification, evaluation and prioritization of projects to be included in the Unscheduled Projects List
- GRADD Top 20 Unscheduled Projects List (for non-MPO areas of Owensboro and Henderson)
- Provide assistance with planning studies conducted by the KYTC
- Provide technical assistance to communities and elected officials with transportation programs and issues
- Interim Federal-Aid Highway Program Project Development Guide for Local Public Agecies (LPA Guide)
