The Green River Workforce Investment Board administers the Workforce Investment Act and ensures that youth (individuals aged 14-21) services will be made available to persons who are economically disadvantaged and meet one or more additional criteria such as school dropout, individual with a disability, etc. There are in-school programs for those youth that are still enrolled in school and out-of-school programs for those that have dropped out of school or have graduated or obtained their GED, but are unemployed or underemployed. Youth activities include testing and assessment, paid and/or unpaid work experience, summer employment opportunities and leadership development opportunities.

Also, beginning in May, opportunities for summer employment and post-secondary education will be available.  If interested, please complete an application and return to our office.  More information to come!
