Have you been dislocated from your job? Are you not sure that you can afford to attend school? Do you need to gain the knowledge and skills to obtain a certain job? Does an employer require a specific credential in order to consider you for the position? If you answered yes, training scholarships may be available. The scholarship program helps those who qualify to pay for college/training tuition, books, fees etc. required to complete an approved training program that leads to an Occupational Skills Credential or an Associate’s degree. This includes both long-term and short-term training opportunities. Training programs are available for eligible Workforce Opportunity and Innovation Act (WIOA) Youth, Adults, Dislocated Workers and those who may have been laid off due to foreign trade. We can help you determine what is right for you and your situation.
If you are a Youth between the ages of 18-24, who is currently not attending any school Click here for more information!
If you are an Adult (aged 18 or older), a Dislocated Worker, or have been laid off from employment due to foreign trade, you may be eligible for a scholarship.

ELIGIBLE TRAINING PROVIDER LIST
The WIOA mandates that the Green River Workforce Development Board, in partnership with the state, develop a statewide list of training providers. These training institutions are approved to provide training to eligible WIOA Youth, Adult, and Dislocated Workers.
Only training providers that have been approved on Kentucky’s Eligible Training Provider List (ETPL) which lead to high demand occupations specified to GRADD’s local area high demand sectors are allowable. Those high-demand sectors include: Advanced Manufacturing; Healthcare; Transportation & Logistics; Business & Information Technology and Construction.
Kentucky’s complete Eligible Training Provider List can be found on the Kentucky Career Center’s website under the Training Tab, and then by selecting Providers. Click here to view the ETPL. Click Kentucky Adult Education to view further opportunities available.
